All About Tea $45
Along with extensive tea tastings, this class discussion will cover the history of tea, the main varieties of tea, and how to brew the perfect pot. You will also have the opportunity to create your own tea blend and leave with a sample tin. *A light snack will be provided.

Bake Shop Favourites $120
In this class you’ll learn to make some of the bakeshop’s most asked about recipes and hear the stories behind our most popular desserts. Each student will try their hand at grand-mere’s florentines, scones and the ever popular key lime tart.

Brioche Basics $120
This rich and buttery dough is always a breakfast favourite! In this class, you will learn how to make the basic dough while exploring its versatility and endless possibilities. We will also cover fillings and students will get to make the bakeshop’s famous brioche pépin.

Duke Cake $125
The decadent chocolate Duke Cake is one of our bestselling items at Duchess Bake Shop. In this class you will be guided through all four steps to making this cake, including the salted caramel and chocolate glaçage. Each student will leave with a full-sized Duke cake to take home and share with family and friends.

Halloween Cookie Decorating $60
This class is all about learning to decorate sugar cookies for our favourite spooky holiday. Your instructor will demonstrate how to make sugar cookie dough and give an overview of basic decorating techniques. You will then jump in and decorate your own cookies. **Please note that any children attending must register with an adult (1 adult per child), and children must 10 year or older.

Jam & Marmalade Workshop $80
Join Master Preserver Camilla Wynne for an evening of jam and marmalade perfection! In this workshop we will discuss the science of safe canning, how to make the best preserves (using less sugar and little or no pectin), and the curious history of marmalade. We then move to the kitchen and prepare one jam recipe (such as raspberry with vanilla and cocoa nibs!) and one marmalade (such as clementine & passionfruit!). You will leave the class with a jar of each preserve, ready to tackle any project and able to safely and creatively modify recipes to your taste.

Macaron Basics $115
Our biggest seller at the Bake Shop, French macarons can be quite tricky to make at home—in this class we let you in on our best tips and tricks for turning out great macarons. You will learn to make a basic shell and some of our most popular fillings, as well as learn about the origins of this dainty treat. Each student will take home about a dozen macarons.

Conquer your fear of making pie dough and become a pie ninja! In this class we will teach you how easy it is to achieve the perfect crust and guide you through making a variety of different styles. Wow your guests at dessert time this Thanksgiving! You will learn how to make the Bake Shop’s famous classic pumpkin pie and carrot cake financier, as well as a beautiful layered verrine for a perfect ending to this holiday meal.
