Culinary Team - Bread Baker

We are introducing a new Part-Time Bread Baker position to support and grow our bread offering within our pastry-focused kitchen. This role will help establish the daily rhythm, standards, and care that define how bread is made in our space.

Bread at our bakery is intended to be simple, honest, and consistent — an essential companion to our pastries, coffee, and café experience. This position is for someone who values process and precision, and who takes pride in helping build something thoughtfully from the beginning.

You will work within a small, focused bread program, contributing to the development of reliable systems while executing daily production with attention and care.


Qualifications:

Education
  • Pastry certificate from a recognized institution

OR

  • Prior experience working in a mid to high-volume bakery production, but we will train with a minimum of one year pastry experience.
 Experience
  • Prior bakery or bread experience preferred
  • Familiarity with basic bread fundamentals (mixing, fermentation, shaping, baking)

Knowledge, Skills and Expectations
  • Comfortable working in a role that is still being shaped and refined
  • Patient, observant, and willing to learn and adapt
  • Detail-oriented and respectful of established direction and standards
  • Reliable and consistent in your approach to work
  • Content focusing on execution and refinement rather than creative control
  • Calm and focused, especially during early-morning or independent shifts
  • Punctual
Working Conditions & Availability:
  • Shifts are typically 6-8 hours a day, 4 days a week
  • Workload fluctuates based on season and events
  • Moderate noise level
  • Standing for extended periods of time - up to 8 hours
  • Able to lift and carry up to 44 lbs.
